On January 31, the concrete pouring of the main part of tube E23 was completed at the prefabrication factory on Niutou Island. To date, concrete pouring for the main part of the immersed tunnel of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge has been totally completed.

Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, which straddles the Pearl River Estuary from east to west, is a world-class cluster project integrating bridge, islands, tunnel and underwater interchanges. It has a total length of 24 kilometers, including a 6.8-kilometer subsea tunnel.

With a length of 5 kilometers, the immersed tube section of the subsea tunnelis made up of 32 immersed tubes and a final joint. Thirty-one of the immersed tubes have been installed so far.
