Søren Bindesbøll, Consul General of Denmark in Guangzhou, visited Zhongshan on the afternoon of September 21. Vice Mayor of Zhongshan Ouyang Jinquan met with the guests along with officials of Zhongshan Foreign Affairs Bureau, Zhongshan Investment Promotion Bureau and Tanzhou Town.

Ouyang Jinquan greeted the guests with warm welcome and briefed them on Zhongshan's economic and social development. He noted that both Zhongshan residents and Danish people embrace a green, environmentally-friendly and healthy lifestyle. He hoped that this visit will be an opportunity for Zhongshan and Danish companies to further communication and deepen cooperation in business, culture, education, healthcare, science and technology. Zhongshan government will help more Danish investment to grow in Zhongshan.

Søren Bindesbøll congratulated Zhongshan for its achievements in building a green and livable city with good ecological environment. He said that Zhongshan and Denmark share frequent interaction. He hoped the two sides can further exchanges and cooperation in green transition, circular economy and sustainable urban development in the future.
