A Zhongshan delegation led by mayor Xiao Zhanxin visited Jiamusi and other cities in Heilongjiang Province from September 11 to 13 to work out new ways to further cooperation between the two sides.

Wang Qiushi, secretary of the Jiamusi Municipal Party Committee, met with Xiao and the Zhongshan delegation. He noted that in recent years, Jiamusi and Zhongshan have shared resources, drawn on each other's strengths, and made phased results in such areas as cadre exchange, agricultural development, industrial park construction and cultural tourism. The two sides are hoped to use their superior resources to make substantial progress and achieve new breakthroughs in industrial cooperation in food processing, medicine and healthcare, foreign trade, and etc.

Xiao Zhanxin said that in recent years Jiamusi has seen remarkable economic development and improved the causes of medical care, education and others. In particular, Jiamusi has made outstanding contributions to ensuring national food security. It is expected that the two cities will optimize cooperation, deepen industrial connections, jointly build industrial parks, and promote in-depth matching between Zhongshan's technology, capital, trade and business resources and Jiamusi's practical needs.

During the visit, mayor Xiao Zhanxin also met with the executives of HIT Robot Group.
