The 2024 Spring Festival travel rush ended on March 5. This year, 5.3466 million trips were made in Zhongshan, representing a year-on-year increase of 16.09%.

Some 4,361,200 trips were made by road transportation, reflecting a 14.91% year-on-year growth, and 890,800 trips were made by railway transportation , indicating a 15.62% year-on-year increase. Additionally, 94,600 trips were made by water transportation, showing a significant year-on-year surge of 136.96%.

Meanwhile, 9.5492 million trips were made by bus within the city, up 17.63% compared to the previous year. The total number of taxi (including ride-hailing) orders was 6.4965 million, reflecting a 2.40% year-on-year increase; 10.3944 million trips were made by taxi (including ride-hailing), witnessing a 2.40% year-on-year growth; 15.8835 million vehicle trips were made by expressway, representing a year-on-year rise of 15.72%.

During the Spring Festival travel rush, the city handled 105 ordinary traffic accidents, down 31.82% compared with a year earlier.
