With the completion of concrete pouring for the joint section of the left mid-span, Hengmen West Waterway Bridge, part of the Zhongshan-Kaiping Highway project, was joined up on March 21.

Spanning the first-class two-way navigable waterway and adjacent to the estuary, Hengmen West Waterway Bridge is a key control project of Zhongshan-Kaiping Highway. On September 30, 2022, the right part of the bridge was joined up successfully.
