The millimeter precision connection between the E7 tube section of the underwater tunnel of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge and the already installed section was completed on January 22, 2021. So far, the total length of the undersea tunnel completed has reached 1,113.5 meters.

The E7 section meets the standard specifications with a length of 165 meters, a width of 46 meters, a height of 10.6 meters, and a weight of about 80,000 tons. The installation was completed 34 meters underwater, the deepest so far since the beginning of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge's immersed tunnel construction.

The transportation and installation of 8 immersed tubes for the undersea tunnel project will be completed this year, and the total distance of the tunnel completed will exceed 2,200 meters.
