The Action Plan for Developing Strategic Advanced Materials Industry Clusters in Guangdong Province (2021-2025) was recently released.

According to the plan, by 2025, several competitive regional industrial clusters with advantages will be developed in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Shaoguan, Heyuan, Meizhou, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Yangjiang, Zhanjiang, Maoming, Zhaoqing, Qingyuan, Yunfu and other places.

Zhongshan will build an advanced materials industrial cluster, focusing on the development of photovoltaic, new non-ferrous metals, and rare earth materials for electronic displays, new energy sources and special metal materials for energy-saving motor vehicles, plastic cement for household appliances, as well as chemical painting materials, advanced membrane materials, and other chemical materials, so as to build an advanced materials industrial cluster with a future business income of more than 100 billion yuan.
