The Zhongshan Public Security Bureau on February 18 reported on the city's public security situation during the Spring Festival. There were 5 general traffic accidents in Zhongshan, with 3 people injured and no fatalities. More than 30,000 police officers kept the peace during the holiday, and the number of criminal and public security cases decreased by 17.57% from last year, with no major cases taking place.

Zhongshan's public security organs formulated the Spring Festival security work plan in advance and implemented various security measures to ensure overall social stability and public security during the Spring Festival. Specifically, the security and road traffic control at 15 major scenic spots, including Jinzhonghu Park and the Former Residence of Dr Sun Yat-sen, were strengthened. A safe and secure environment at Zhongshan's scenic spots and surrounding areas ensured a happy and peaceful Spring Festival for citizens in Zhongshan.
