Xinlun Village in Minzhong District boasts beautiful landscape features of water countryside and developed characteristic eco-tourism. Rivers intertwine the village, and houses sit along rivers, preserving a traditional style.

Danli Greenway

The Danli Greenway connects such 5 scenic spots in the village as the Xinlun Village Tourism Service Center, the sewage treatment plant, the "Rice Bucket Racing" training base, Sheng Zhi Guo shine-muscat grape planting base and the Xinlun Village Cultural Service Center to present the village's beautiful and unique rural character to tourists.

Xinlun Village enjoys plentiful harvests during all four seasons. It is rich in tropical fruits such as bananas, guava, lychee and longan all year round, attracting many food lovers.

Sheng Zhi Guo planting base is rich in Shine-Muscat grapes, with the yield of over 3,000 kg per mu.

Xinlun Village has a long history, and local villagers still keep some traditions of their ancestors, such as living along the river, preserving traditional docks, making dried fish and shrimp, singing Salty Water Songs, holding "Rice Bucket Racing" performances, dragon boat racing and other traditional folk activities, and etc. "Rice Bucket Racing" is also included in the Zhongshan intangible cultural heritage program list.

In order to better protect and inherit the traditional "Rice Bucket Racing" skills, Minzhong District regard organizes Rice Bucket Racing as one of the permanent events of the annual water games.
