"The demonstration section of the project is expected to complete by the end of December and to go through pre-assessment in the first half of 2022. In the future, Tsuihang New District will add a waterside promenade for recreational use," said the project leader of the Tsuihang New District Riverside Water Conservancy Landscape Renovation on November 30, adding that the Maolong Waterway Demonstration Section will include 3 unique features, "Playful Wetland", "Waterfront Forest" and "Nature Trail". It will become a green landscape with a total area of about 77,300 square meters in the Tsuihang New District starting area.

The riverside water conservancy landscape renovation project was started in August 2019. So far, the construction of the northern section is in its third stage, and key projects such as the Maolong North Hydro-junction project are under construction. The whole project is expected to be completed in 2024, which will help to regulate water quality in Tsuihang New District and comprehensively improve its flood control and drainage standards and capabilities.
