Located to the east of Huangpu Town, Shijun Village has a history of more than 170 years. The village is one of the early areas of the peasant movement in Zhongshan. It is not only the first rural education base of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee in the Party's history, but also the only old revolutionary village in Huangpu Town. Ou Chu, Luo Ruoyu, Feng liunu, Yang Huayuan, and other early vanguards in the peasant revolution fought against Japan here.

In recent years, Shijun Village has used features from the "Red + Green" theme for development concepts, fully leveraging "red culture", natural resources, and agricultural industry tourism resources to create "red culture" tourism. A series of "red culture" tourist attractions have been planned and constructed, including a museum of revolutionary history, Qizhai Farming Culture Graffiti, Former Event Sites of the Party branch, former residences of revolutionary martyrs', and so on.

This year, Shijun Village will invest another 1.3 million yuan to build a Red Culture Education Base. Shijun Village will try its best to recreate historical revolutionary scenes based on historical materials. Covering a total area of about 6,660 square meters, the base is located on the revolutionary site where Luo Ruoyu and other revolutionary martyrs worked.

On the doors and walls of village houses on both sides of the river, there are wall paintings about revolutionary history, farming culture and the peasant revolution, which fully show the farming culture in Shijun Village and the mark of the peasant revolution and anti-Japanese revolutionary movement as an old revolutionary base.
