Great Shots of the Week is a weekly photo solicitation event held by Zhongshan Daily to collect photos from the public every week. Top 6 winners will be given prizes and electronic certificates. All residents including expats are welcome to participate and record beautiful moments in Zhongshan every week. Winners of the week (February 20 - February 26) are as follows.

First prize: Firecracker-grabbing (By Yu Xingdong)

Firecracker-grabbing, a folk activity in Yagang Village, Sanxiang Town, usually takes place on the third day of the second lunar month, also the birthday of the Earth God. The tradition, which conveys the good wish for a new baby and a good fortune, has evolved into a modern sports activity.

Second prize: Demonstration and Inheritance (Zeng Xuexian)

On February 22, 2023, Mr. Liang demonstrated lion dance movements for a child at a traditional culture festival in Yagang Village, Sanxiang Town.

Second prize: Holiday (Chen Liwei)

The Xiangshan Study surrounded by a large lawn in Zimaling Park is a good destination for Zhongshan people on holidays. On the afternoon of February 25, the weather was fine and the lawn was bustling with weekend visitors.

Third prize: Happy Dragon Dance (Mi Li)

On the third day of the second lunar month, Piaose parade, an annual tradition of Yagang Village, Sanxiang Town, restarted after a three-year suspension.

On February 20, 2023, cyclists were training at Zhongshan Sports School.
