Green field, blue sky, bright sunshine, verdant grass—this is the scene of the first green outdoor wedding ever held in Zhongshan.

On the afternoon of Jan. 10, Mr. Zhou and Miss Li, a lively and nature-loving couple born in the 1980s, held their wedding in the grassland of Zimaling Park. They got acquainted in an outdoor activity in 2008. At the end of 2009, they submitted the application for an outdoor wedding in Zimaling Park to Zhongshan Park Administration Office and got the approval soon. “We expect to plant the green tree and send free butterflies, symbols of hope, freedom and romance in our wedding.” said the couple.

The theme of the wedding is environment protection. All the guests stepped into the park on foot, and decoration flowers were reusable. In addition, 99 butterflies were sent free to the wild on the wedding.
