It is reported that the year of 2010 is themed as "The year of Guangdong overseas Chinese tourism."Vice Mayors Han Ze-sheng and Tan Pei-an as well as the related sectors of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese, Tourism and the representatives of travel agents of the city gathered together to discuss how to recommend and promote overseas Chinese home-return travelling yesterday afternoon.

Han Ze-sheng proposed that the development of overseas Chinese tourism should turn to the township overseas resources and the geographical kinship resources to encourage Overseas Chinese living in Zhongshan to impact on more overseas compatriots to visit their hometowns. Tan Pei-an called for the immediate establishment of tourism working group and encouraged travel agencies to set tourist routes according to characteristics and strengths of different attractions in Zhongshan, so that when more overseas Chinese return to visit their relatives or find their descendants, they can also be fascinated with scenery sights and promote their understanding of the hometown .
