Starting December 10, the traffic police in Zhongshan have been using drones to capture traffic violations during the morning and evening rush hours in central areas. Traffic violators would be penalized according to the law, and the vehicle numbers would be exposed to the public through outdoor bulletin boards.

During the evening rush hour on December 10, the traffic police captured over 10 traffic violation cases across 4 categories, and during the morning rush hour on December 13 over 40 cases were caught.

The traffic police call on the public to actively abide by the "1234" Initiative to ensure smooth transportation, develop good travel habits and etiquette, reduce artificially induced traffic congestion, and refrain from negative traffic behavior such as improper parking, cutting off other vehicles, improperly changing lanes, and using phones while driving. The traffic police also aim to deal with minor traffic accidents in an efficient manner to avoid causing further traffic jams.
