Zhongshan implemented a set of special traffic safety measures in urban areas starting October 28. A total of 100 drivers from Zhongshan Public Transportation Group and other enterprises were hired to form a traffic safety supervisor team.

These supervisors will perform their duties in East District, Shiqi District, West District, South District and Wuguishan District. They will focusing their efforts on monitoring and supervising roads prone to traffic accidents and sections with potential traffic dangers in such key areas as schools and markets.

Once any potential traffic danger is found, the supervisors will report to local bureaus and agencies through special channels. The Zhongshan Bureau of Transport, Zhongshan Traffic Police Department, Zhongshan Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Zhongshan Urban Management and Law Enforcement Bureau and other departments will assign special personnel to follow up with and inform the supervisors of the results in a timely manner.
