According to the statistics on Zhongshan's employment services the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau recently released,  this October, the number of people needed in the human resource market was 49,677, up 8.01% from a year earlier and increasing by over 4% for the second consecutive month (4.21% in September). This October also saw the highest monthly labor demand in the same period over the past 5 years.

Manufacturing enterprises have the largest labor demand, with the number of people needed hitting 25,935, which accounts for over 50% of the total. It is worth noting that the labor demand of the manufacturing industry is also increasing. In October, employment in the manufacturing industry increased by 2,256 people compared with a month earlier, and the demand growth exceeded 2,000 for the first time since July.

In the third quarter of 2021, the labor demand of Zhongshan was 136,500, and only about 62,300 people were seeking jobs, resulting in a demand-supply ratio of 2.19, down 0.11 month-on-month and up 0.9 year-on-year. The labor demand figures in manufacturing, transportation, warehousing and postal sectors have all increased.
