Thirteen government departments including the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a document calling for the renovation of existing old residential community facilities by 2025, and the construction of various new facilities in newly-built residential communities.
According to the Urban Renewal Bureau of Zhongshan, in 2020, renovation funds have been invested in the renewal work of 5 old communities, including Baiyuan New Village Community, Laodong Community, Songyuan New Village Community, Huabai New Village, and the dormitory of the South District Public Security Sub-Bureau, involving a total of 192 residential buildings and 4,080 households.
Among them, Baiyuan New Village and Huabai New Village are planned to complete the renovation before the end of this year. Laodong Community and Songyuan Community will start renovation in September. The design plans have been determined for the renovation project of the dormitory of the South District Public Security Sub-Bureau, and the implementation and preparation for construction of this project is under way.
