The renovation of the main part of Cuiheng Express Way, which is connected with the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, has been completed, with road landscaping and tunnel lighting improved. Designed according to Zhuhai's Lovers Avenue, is scheduled to open to traffic by the end of July.
The renovation covers Cuiheng Express Way and Lanheng Road. The renovated section of Cuiheng Express Way is about 13.8 kilometers in length. Improvements will be made in tunnel lighting, landscaping and green belts. The renovated section of Lanheng Road is about 5.4 kilometers in length. Improvements will be made in road surface and greening facilities.
With a cost of more than 330 million yuan, the renovation will make Cuiheng Express Way a scenic gateway to Cuiheng New District.
Cuiheng Express Way opened to traffic in late 2015. It starts from Bo'ai Road, passes Torch Development Zone and Nanlang District, and ends at the Linhai Industrial Park on Ma'an Island. The 15.6-kilometer Cuiheng Express Way has a speed limit of 80 km/h, and its main line has 3 lanes in both directions.
