The Zhongshan GBA International Talent Port started construction on the morning of March 29. Meanwhile, a ceremony awarding teams of outstanding experts from Zhongshan's enterprises was held in the New Science and Technology Town of Tsuihang New District.

The first phase of the Talent Port will focus on establishing a service center for international talent, gathering innovation and entrepreneurial supporting institutions and building an improved service system for talent. The goal is to make the Talent Port a comprehensive, industry-city-people integrated talent service base suitable for entrepreneurship, employment and living.

Many service platforms will be set up in Tsuihang New District, where the Talent Port headquarters. For example, a comprehensive talent service hub for centralized examination and approval, which provides "one-stop" services including policy consultation, expert qualification verification, subsidy issuing, demand and project matching and etc for talented persons, will be built.

On the same day, a commendation ceremony for outstanding talent of Zhongshan enterprises was held. At the ceremony, the Oral Health R&D Team of Hawley & Hazel Chemical (Zhongshan) Co Ltd and other 4 teams were awarded 2 million yuan each. Mei Wenhui, technical director of Zhongshan Aiscent Technology Co Ltd, and other 9 talented persons were awarded 200,000 yuan each.
