As one of the key cultural projects of Guangdong, a large-scale symphonic suite Sun Zhongshan will be broadcast on 12th March on Guangdong TV Station in order to commemorate the 90th anniversary of his death.

Created and directed by Qiu Shuhong, the famous poet and Chairman of Zhongshan Municipal CPPCC, the suite is consisted of several chapters, including “Daring to be the pioneer”, “General plan of founding the country”, “the Three People's Principles (Nationalism, Democracy, the People's Livelihood)” and so on. According to Qiu Shuhong, the five components of poem, song, music, painting and people are indispensable in jointly shaping Sun Yat-sen’s image.

The suite has staged publicly in cities such as Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur and been broadcast in CCTV up until now. It also won the 9th Guangdong Lu Xun Literature and Art Prize. It has also received wide social influence and high appreciation from national and provincial leaders.
