2016 marks the 150th birthday anniversary of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, for which a 6-episode program Sun Yat-sen and Overseas Chinese filmed by CCTV and assisted by Zhongshan government will be broadcast from November 7th. The special program is to comment on the historical contributions from a broader perspective and on his influence towards overseas Chinese with a deeper understanding.

Compared to the relevant shows in the past, the program features new specialties. First of all, it strives to break through the ceiling of historical documentary that clings to one’s biography. Moreover, it leaps forward from the description of track of ages, and analyzes the historical merits of Sun Yat-sen in the view of human civilization. Lastly, it concentrates on the historical association between the great man and the overseas Chinese around the world, illustrating the outstanding image of Sun Yat-sen.

The program is set to broadcast from Nov. 7th – 12th on CCTV news channel at 21:30. One episode per night with rebroadcast at 02:35am and 04:35am on the following day.
