Zhongshan Municipal Library aims to create a high-quality, always-ready-to-serve team, changing from passive service to active service. For this aim, the Municipal Library established a mobile library to benefit schools, military camps, enterprises and poverty-stricken areas.

The mobile library was first open to service on Feb.1,2008. Loaded on a big bus, the mobile library provides a series of services for free, such as book loan, database searching, and library card processing.

The mobile library has a collection of 4,500 volumes, about either hot topics or practical skills and upgrading from time to time according to readers’ suggestions.

The mobile library is an extention of traditional library to provide services to every cornor of the city and countryside, entitling every citizen with equal access to knowledge.
