Mr. Feng Weizhong, 67, is a leader of Blood Donor Volunteers subordinated under Zhongshan Red Cross. What touches him most is that the Charity Parade increases citizens’ awareness of the significance of blood donation.

Feng tells the reporter that he has participated actively in the Charity Parade as a representative for blood donors every year since he became a team leader of the volunteers. He is convinced that the Parade has improved people’s awareness of fraternity and care giving. He is grateful to blood donors that blood shortage has never occurred to Zhongshan City. Instead, Zhongshan is honored “an advanced city of blood donation” for eight consecutive years.
