Zhongshan Charity Parade is a large-scale charity event initiated by Zhongshan citizens to display time-honored or newly-established tradition and custom in Zhongshan. Since 1988 when the first Charity Parade kicked off, it has been held continuously for 26 years. Every year, ten thousands of Zhongshan citizens and overseas Zhongshanese will attend the parade. Traditional cultural performances, such as dragon-dancing, lion-dancing or martial arts will be presented in the parade. And the parade usually draws crowds of people lining the streets to visit.

Vice Mayor Yang Wenlong announced that the 2014 Charity Parade began.
