As one part of first Zhongshan “Philanthropic Cultural Week”, “Affection•Collection——Zhongshan Charity Parade Sale and Auction 2013” is launched today. A batch of works of art donated by artists and enthusiasts both inside and outside the city, as well as the recruitment for works of art and fine art collection from the public are issued yesterday.

As informed, Zhongshan receives calligraphy donation from overseas folks and enthusiasts each year. These donations, after the collection and classification by Zhongshan Literature and Arts Association, are expected to be presented in Zhongshan Painting and Calligraphy Academy. It is also planned that charity sale and auction will be organized at the appropriate time and the raised money will be wholly taken as Charity Parade subscription. The first batch of around 100 pledges will be displayed in Zhongshan Painting and Calligraphy Academy since Feb 24; citizens are welcome to visit. Charity sale and auction will be held two weeks after the expert pricing of the collected works of art. From this Charity Parade onward, works of art charity sale and auction will be taken as a part of Philanthropy Cultural Week and carried out each year, so as to promote Zhongshan art appreciation and publicize Zhongshan charity culture.
