Zhongshan Charity Walk featuring “emphasized by the Municipal Committee, lead by the government, hosted by the Red Cross, supported by departments of all levels, and participated by all the people” has had a history of 23 years. To better organize the 24th Charity Walk, we formulated the following programme.

Purpose of the activity
To carry forward the spirit of philanthropy, unite efforts from society, raise funds for the municipal and township Red Cross Societies to develop humanitarian causes, offer help to people in need, demonstrate the achievements scored during the process of building Zhongshan into a “Three- Suitable” city and contribute to the 90th Anniversary of the Founding of Communist Party of China.

Fraternity and happiness spread to every household.

Organization of the activity
Hierarchy management is adopted. A general commanding committee and township commanding committees were established. The general commanding committee is responsible for the work in entirety, the coordination and lead of the township commanding committees. The Municipal Red Cross Society is in charge of directing the township Red Cross Societies taking care of the Red Cross capital.

Programmes of the activity
1. To organize advertising campaign and donation activity. By means of some effective methods, we try our best to call on people to make their efforts for charity and participate in the charity Walk. Under the lead of the general commanding committee, units of all walks of life called for the active participation of all the people in the charity activity.

2. To organize Charity Walk Carnival, Charity Bazaar of 100 Renowned Enterprises, Charity Evening. Besides all these traditional activities, the 2011 Charity Walk should also hold various theme activities to make the Charity Walk known to the whole world and apply for the 2010 Moving China Award.
