The 2010 Zhongshan Blood Donation Commendation Conference was held on January 12th, commending 14 towns, 14 units, and 232 individuals for blood donation, as well as 10 outstanding volunteers. In 2010, more than 58,000 people donated blood without payment with the total amount of 11.76 tons. Vice Mayor Tang Yin and Mai Jianzhang, Director General of Zhongshan Public Health Bureau, attended the meeting.
