Charity Parade of 2009 and Gratitude Ceremony were held grandly yesterday. Provincial and municipal leaders Tang Bingquan, Chen Genkai, Li Qihong, and Zheng Jinzuan attended the ceremony with tens of thousands of citizens.

At 14:00, as the starting order commanded by Tang Ying, Vice Mayor and Commander in Chief of the parade, more than 100 teams set out from the two waiting areas to assemble in Xingzhong Stadium, the venue of the gratitude ceremony.

The funds raised by this year's parade had amounted to the highest record of 66.3932 million yuan by the end of February 8th. Under the banner of philanthropy, more than 600 million yuan has been raised in the past 22 years of charity parade.

The 22 years' Charity Parade has manifested the mutual help and support by philanthropy and carried further the value recognition of fraternity, creativity, tolerance and harmony. The present Charity Parade has transcended itself to be a new symbol, a new custom and a new culture of the city.
