As the Charity Parade has lasted for 22 years, people in Zhongshan deeply cherish this special charity event, thus how to promote the connotation, develop its manifestation to make it more significant have attracted attention not only from people in Zhongshan ,but also from many experts of culture and folklore as well as experienced journalists in the whole nation.

Professor Ge Jianxiong held that it was worth to make special research on this Charity Parade since Zhongshan began to hold the Charity Parade more than 20 years ago and continued to hold it year by year under the general condition of lagging development of Chinese charity. In his opinion, Zhongshan people not only develop charity, but also regard it as a kind of interest and trend. "To some traditional customs, we can keep their form, change their content and draw essence from them to create new folk activities and styles." he said.
