Zhongshan has made great achievements in greening with a lot of awards, such as UN Habitat Award and National Ecological City and so on. In the 3rd Session of the 11th Municipal CPPCC, the Hongkong Group propose to further improve space greening in Zhongshan to establish a better ecological garden city.?

It is true that Zhongshan still needs make further development in space greening compared with some developed cities. At present, urban greening mainly focuses on roads, gardens and squares, while balconies, out walls of institutions,schools, hospitals, shopping malls, and residential communities are still covered by cement floor without any greening. It is strongly recommended that Zhongshan learn and draw lessons from advanced and valuable experience from other cities around the world to better improve its urban space greening.
