Guangdong provincial government has issued the notice of implementing the state IV emission standards in PRD region in advance. The new standard will be implemented from June 1, 2010, and the key task is the supporting works, oil supplying and registration of vehicles with the qualified vehicle manufacturing and supplying.

The transitional period is from June 1 to August 31, during which vehicle sale and registration can still be implemented according to the previous standard.

In addition, list of vehicles in accordance with state IV emission standards will be publicized on website http://www.gdepb.gov.cn/ to guide citizens and potential vehicle buyers. Vehicles or engines not on the list will be forbidden for registration.
