Zhongshan's air quality ranks 16th nationwide in February

On March 28, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment reported on the national ambient air quality in February and from January to February 2022. In February and from January to February, Zhongshan ranked 16th and 20th respectively in air quality among 168 major cities nationwide.


Among those cities, the air quality in Lhasa, Haikou, Huizhou and other 17 cities was relatively good in February. A total of 8 cities in Guangdong Province made it into the Top 20 cities in China, including Huizhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Dongguan and Zhuhai.


In 2022, Zhongshan will deepen its efforts to combat pollution, continue to focus on the treatment of ozone pollution, jointly promote the emission reduction of VOCs and nitrogen oxides, shore up the supervision and governance of mobile pollution sources, improve ozone pollution response mechanisms, and put up dust pollution treatment legislation on the work agenda.
