A judge panel will be established in Zhongshan to select six villages as the city-level “beautiful villages” in 2017. The list will be made through competitive selection to set a standard for building beautiful villages and motivate the whole rural areas to level up the construction of new villages. As part of the municipal layout, it is also a major measure to better the living environment in rural areas. The organizer has begun to accept applications from all towns and districts.

As is requested, the six selected villages should be outstanding in the following aspects: living environment, resource optimization, improved infrastructure, living conditions, employment, villagers’ sense of satisfaction, and so on. Villagers’ sense of satisfaction is greatly highlighted as well as accomplishment of the prospective goals.
