Ecological beauty of Changjiang Reservoir, Zhongshan

June 5th marks the 44th World Environment Day. The theme of Zhongshan this year is Ecological Zhongshan in light of environment protection law, aiming to arouse people’s concern to protect our ecological environment, raise public consciousness to learn, keep, and abide by environment protection laws.

Last year witnessed rewarding achievements of environment work in Zhongshan. The evaluation of its total emission reduction wins excellent grade in Guangdong; it ranks No. 2 in environment responsibility assessment and the evaluation of heavy metal pollution prevention and treatment; it takes the lead in clearing up water in South Guangdong; its air quality ranks No. 4 in the 9 cities and 1 district of PRD area, and No. 10 in the 74 key cities across the country.

Zhongshan Environmental Protection Bureau will vigorously enhance ruling by law, deepen ecological civilization construction, improve environment quality comprehensively, strengthen total emission reduction, promote government style construction, enhance anti-corruption campaign, and strive to open a new chapter for environment protection, and make a new contribution to the construction of the ecological civilization.
