The 2023 Signing Ceremony of Investment Promotion Contracts & Commencement Ceremony of Phase 2 of Chengyi Waisha Innovation City in Shenwan was held on January 4. Twelve new projects settled in Shenwan, covering emerging industries such as new materials, new energy and live streaming supply chain, etc. With a total investment of 2.72 billion yuan, these projects are expected to generate a total output value of 3.03 billion yuan. Several of them were determined to settle at Chengyi Waisha Innovation City, one of Shenwan's industrial park renovation projects.

With a total area of about 335 mu, Chengyi Waisha Innovation City is positioned as "an intelligent manufacturing industrial park". The project, to be built in four phases, is expected to have a floor area of 860,000 square meters, generate annual tax revenues of approximately 100 million yuan, and create 3,000 jobs.

The top-out ceremony of Phase 1 and the commencement ceremony of Phase 2 of Chengyi Waisha Innovation City were held concurrently that day. With an area of about 41 mu and a total floor area of 107,000 square meters, Phase 1 has attracted 7 industrial entities to reach intentions on settlement since the investment promotion started, and is expected to generate an annual output value of 1.45 billion yuan.
