ZOS-PARK relaxes access restrictions

The "Measures for the Administration of ZOS-PARK" took effect starting May 1.


According to the Measures, the access restrictions for overseas students have been relaxed, and four types of overseas students can enter the park to start businesses: those sponsored by the state or studied abroad at their own expense and have obtained a nationally recognized bachelor's degree (or above); visiting scholars and fellows who have obtained a bachelor's degree or above or an intermediate professional title or above in China and have studied and developed projects before in foreign colleges and universities, scientific research institutions, or well-known enterprises for more than 1 year and have accomplished fitting achievements; students with a bachelor's degree or above recognized by local government departments in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan; and those who have obtained permanent residence in a foreign country and foreign nationality after studying abroad and have obtained their degree as recognized by the country where they are located.


According to the Measures, after settling in the park, these graduates can apply for an entrepreneurship subsidy of up to 2 million yuan. During the 48-month incubation period, the park can provide startups with up to 500-square-meter space for work, R&D and production for free.


In addition, the incubation functions of the park have been strengthened from 8 aspects, including encouraging systematic and mechanism innovation, setting up support funds for the development of ZOS-PARK (and sub-parks), building a science and technology industrial park within ZOS-PARK (and sub-parks), jointly building a technological innovation platform, setting up workstations, venture capital funds, establishing project recommendation awards, and strengthening the human resource services of the park.
