The 2021 Top 50 China Environment Enterprises list was released on the afternoon of July 8. Zhongshan Public Utilities Group (ZPUG) ranked 50th, the only Zhongshan-based enterprise in the list.

The list was based on the gross revenue of each enterprise above designated size in 2020 through research by the China Environment Service Industry Association.

Among the top 50 enterprises, there were 44 listed companies. The top 3 enterprises were Everbright Environment, China Tianying, and Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited (BEWG).

ZPUG ranked 50th in the list. The company focuses on water utilities, engineering projects, sewage and liquid waste treatment, environmental sanitation, market operation, garbage disposal and power generation. In 2020, its gross revenue was 2.18 billion yuan, with a net income attributable to shareholders of 1.37 billion, a year-on-year increase of 31.4%.
