According to the official publication of Guangdong's regional GDP, Zhongshan's GDP in the first three quarters of 2023 was 274.463 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%.
The added value of the primary industry was 6.199 billion yuan, up 5.6% year on year; the added value of the secondary industry was 136.798 billion yuan, up 7.0% year on year; and the added value of the tertiary industry was 131.466 billion yuan, up 3.5% year on year.
The added value of industries above designated size in Zhongshan reached 110.891 billion yuan, up 5.6% year on year, and the growth rate was 1.3 percentage points faster than that in the first half of the year. The added value of the service industry increased by 3.5% year on year.
In the first three quarters, Zhongshan's fixed-asset investment decreased by 4.3% year on year, 1.7 percentage points lower than that in the first half of the year.
Industrial investment increased by 47.2% year on year, accounting for 38.3% of fixed-asset investment, compared to 24.9% in the same period last year. Investment in industrial technology increased by 45.1%, accounting for 13.8%; investment in advanced manufacturing increased by 51.7%; and investment in high-tech manufacturing increased by 55.3%. Investment in infrastructure decreased by 13.7% year on year, while investment in real estate development decreased by 30.0% year on year.
Zhongshan's total retail sales of consumer goods increased by 2.4% year on year, its consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.6% year on year, and its producer price index (PPI) for industrial products decreased by 0.4% year on year.
The per capita disposable income of residents was 48,461 yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.0%, 1.8 percentage points higher than that in the first half of the year.
