Under the supervision of Zhongshan Port Customs, the ship Zhenghe 508, loaded with a giant steel component for the sidewalk project of Island Eastern Corridor in Hong Kong, left the international container terminal of Shenwan Port in Zhongshan for Hong Kong on May 3.

The exported giant steel component, 26 meters in length, 16.4 meters in width and 136 tons in weight, will be used for the construction of the sidewalk project of Island Eastern Corridor.

Funded by the Hong Kong SAR Government, the 2.2-kilometer th, the sidewalk project is a major public infrastructure improvement project in Hong Kong. Afterward, several batches of goods will be exported via Shenwan Port for the project.
