Started yesterday afternoon, the cogeneration extension project of Zhongshan Thermal Power Plant is a major provincial and municipal project. The project investment is expected to reach 3 billion Yuan. It is reported that the production of the project will not only greatly increase power supply but reduce the emission of sulfur dioxide by 90%. Chen Liangxian, Major of Zhongshan, Zhang Zulin, Director of Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Energy, and Huang Zhenhai, General Manager of Guangdog Holdings Limited, attended the ground breaking ceremony.

It is reported that Zhongshan Thermal Plant’s cogeneration extension project has an estimated investment of about 3 billion Yuan. The annual electricity production is expected to reach 3.3 billion KW.h. The annual revenue and tax revenue of the project are expected to reach 2 billion Yuan and 200 million Yuan. The thermal pipeline network of cogeneration extension project covers Huangpu Town, Nantou Town, Fusha Town, and Dongfeng Town, which will facilitate the industrial upgrade.
