Governor Huang Huahua and other leaders visited Zhongshan yesterday and inspected the economic development of Zhongshan. While visiting the new factory of Broad-ocean Motor Company, he recommended Zhongshan to develop electric automobile. “Zhongshan now has enterprise producing batteries and motors, so it could have a try on vehicle producing”.

In the exhibition hall of Broad-ocean Motor, motors from 30K watts to 500K watts are displayed. The control system initiated by the company can be used in kinds of cars even in subway. Broad-ocean has invested 1.37 billion yuan in R&D of electric and hybrid motors and realized 47 percent increase in the first half of 2010. It is estimated the output value will reach 2.3 billion yuan this year.

Huang Huahua satisfactorily stated that electric automobile is a new industry and a developing trend of the world. Zhongshan should consider seriously about manufacturing electric automobile. At the same time, he also hoped to see the upgrading of the traditional industry of Zhongshan from “Zhongshan Made” to “Zhongshan created”.
