According to statistics from Zhongshan Customs, Zhongshan has exported 380 tons of moon cakes this year to more than 30 countries and regions. The export volume has continue to lead in China.

"This year's export volume is 60% to 70% of last year's, which has exceeded our expectations," said the head of a mooncake manufacturer in Zhongshan. "With the support of customs departments, our mooncakes can successfully hit the Europe and the US market within about 15 days after production, and the products are very popular among overseas Chinese."

At present, Zhongshan-made mooncakes have been successfully shipped to Europe, America, Southeast Asia, and other places for sale. "Overseas Chinese still miss the traditional taste of mooncakes made in their hometown, so the mooncakes we export are mainly mixed nuts, lotus-seed-paste and other traditional flavors." The head of a Zhongshan-based mooncake manufacturer added.
