On June 3, launch commencement ceremonies for the major provincial agricultural construction projects were held. The centralized commencement ceremony was held at Zuobu Village, Zhongshan's Nanlang Town.

In 2020, Zhongshan is to the location for 18 major agricultural and rural construction projects, with a total investment of 43 billion yuan. The construction projects have various focuses, such as the construction of beautiful countryside, the improvement of living conditions, and the development of a modern agricultural industry.

On the same day, 10 projects were launched, with a total investment of 17 billion yuan. There are water quality improvement project in agriculture-related areas, improvement project on 28 beautiful and livable model villages, improvement project on 3 unique model villages, countryside construction project, construction project on Guangdong province 2020 Agricultural Industrial Strong Town (Huangpu Town, Zhongshan City), Sanjiao Town Fish Farming Modern Industrial Park Project, Liusha Village Heshengwei Flower and Tree Standardized Planting Model Park Project, etc.

In Zuobu Village, where the launching ceremony was held, the unique village projects covering 53 sub-projects such as village landscape renovation, livelihood quality improvement, tourism route optimization and infrastructure construction were started. These projects have a total investment of about 35 million yuan.
