Zhongshan Life Science Park, a major project co-built by Guangdong Province and Zhongshan City, officially opened in Cuiheng New District on September 26.

The 268-mu park has a total investment of 6.8 billion yuan, with a total construction area of 710,000 square meters. The park serves the biomedical industry and has the largest single investment in the Greater Bay Area.

At the opening ceremony, five key projects, including Kingfocus Biomedical Co, the world's first company specializing in quantum dot invitro rapid detection and diagnosis technology, and Nortion Medical Technology Co, the global leader in "irreversible electroporation technology", signed contracts to settle in the park.

Zhongshan Life Science Park will bring together leading high-end research institutions and biomedical innovation enterprises, led by the Zhongshan Institute for Drug Discovery. It aims to establish an ecological system for the life science industry, gradually develop public service platforms such as a drug efficacy evaluation platform, animal testing center and isotope laboratory, and create a benchmark professional medical park in the Greater Bay Area.

Contracts for five industry experts, five park projects and five investing companies were signed at the opening ceremony.
