Although there is still one more month to the Mid-Autumn Day, mooncakes produced in Zhongshan has already exported to European, North America and Oceania. According to Zhongshan Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, 133 batches of mooncakes with total value of 6.72 million dollars were exported until August 9th.

Zhongshan is the largest manufacturing base of Cantonese style mooncakes and hold certain popularity in home and abroad. Nowadays?there are eight majors mooncake manufacturers in Zhongshan mainly engaging in mooncake exportation. Although in recent years the standards of mooncakes is higher and stricter, 20% to 40% increase of exportation is still observed.
