More than 100 years ago, four department stores that were founded by Ma Yingbiao, the brothers Guo Le and Guo Quan, the brothers Cai Chang and Cai Xing, Liu Xiji, Li Minzhou and other Zhongshan entrepreneurs, started the road to modernization of China's department store sector. Now, Zhongshan's entrepreneurs are embarking on a new journey of courage and perseverance.

November 1 marked the first "Zhongshan Entrepreneurs' Day" set by legislation. On the city's honor, it praises Zhongshan-based entrepreneurs with the utmost courtesy and create a strong atmosphere of caring and serving entrepreneurs throughout the city. Zhongshan will further encourage entrepreneurship, innovation, patriotism, a strong sense of social responsibility, and a broad international vision, thus becoming a rising force in accelerating development.
