Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Middle School held its 7th National Cultural Festival “World’s Harmony and Happiness” in the school’s square on the afternoon of April 29 to celebrate Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s 150th birthday, spread the excellent traditional and overseas Chinese culture, and carry out the notion of “international eyeshot and world bearing”. All students and teachers of Senior 1 and 2, some parent representatives attend the festival.

This cultural festival includes the environmental fashion show, the flea market and performances. The fashion show is set in the end of Qing dynasty and beginning of ROC, reflecting clothing features of this period. Teachers and students performance together, interpreting the sets of that era, showing their designs and notion of environmental protection. What catches the audience is most of these clothes are made of used mosquito nets, black plastic bags, garbage bags and plastic foam.
