The National Tourism Administration announced on February 4 to equip all 5A tourist attractions with unisex toilets. Sun Yat-sen Hometown Tourist Attraction—the first 5A in Zhongshan—is to be equipped with this kind of toilets around the mid-year. The plan making is carried on.

Unisex toilets are designed for special tourists to answer nature’s call, such as an old father in need of her daughter’s help, an old mother in need of her son’s help, a little boy in need of his mother’s help, a little girl in need of her father’s help. The first unisex toilet is sited behind Zhongshan Town Arch. The existing 3A toilet built there last year needs changing to conform to the new standard. The plan is under designing and the project is estimated to be complete around the middle of the year.
