On the morning of July 16, next to a basketball court in Longrui Village, a century-old house belonging to a Chinese citizen who now lives abroad, with an area of about 400 square meters, was renovated and transformed into the exhibition hall of the "Auspicious Dragon" Ancient Village Exhibition.

The exhibition was co-organized by the Longrui Village committee of Shaxi Town and the Zhongshan Institute of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.

This house is an immovable cultural relic in Zhongshan. After opening the restored wooden door, a small courtyard covered with white gravel and green plants comes into view. There is a wide open courtyard with marble pillars behind the gate filled with various stain-glass windows, woodcutting, and watercolors, which integrates Chinese and Western styles.

Precious antiques left by the owner, as well as such exquisite furniture and decorations as a retro sofa, a coffee table, delicate curtains and vases bought by the exhibition organizers, are now placed in the house.

In addition, a wide range works from teachers and students can be seen, including T-shirts, handbags, round silk fans, and other cultural and creative products with ancient village elements, as well as the design specifications and scaled-down models of the renovation of streets and lanes in Longrui and neighboring villages, and a series of works depicting urban development. The students also showed their unique memory of the city by recording the changes of urban development through images.
